Amazon Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow (MWAA) Update

Amazon MWAA now supports Apache Airflow version 2.11.2. This release includes security improvements, bug fixes, and dependency upgrades.

Key Updates

  • Security Improvements: Upgraded core dependencies with security patches.
  • Stability Improvements: Enhancements to the Airflow webserver and task execution layers.
  • Task Lifecycle Management: Fixes for queued tasks.
  • Secrets Masking: Enhanced masking in logs.
  • UI Corrections: Fixes in the Task Instances list view.
  • Provider Package Updates: Updates for S3 and CloudWatch log delivery.

What to do

  • Create a new Apache Airflow 2.11.2 environment on Amazon MWAA.
  • Upgrade existing environments with a few clicks in the AWS Management Console.
