Amazon MQ JMS Topic Exchange Plugin Support

Amazon MQ now supports RabbitMQ 4 brokers connecting to JMS applications via the RabbitMQ JMS Topic Exchange plugin and JMS client. This plugin is enabled by default, allowing JMS 1.1, JMS 2.0, and JMS 3.1 applications to run on RabbitMQ. You can also use the RabbitMQ JMS client to send JMS messages to an AMQP exchange and consume messages from an AMQP queue for interoperation or migration of JMS workloads to AMQP workloads.

What to do

  • Create a new RabbitMQ 4.2 broker using the M7g instance type through the AWS Management console, AWS CLI, or AWS SDKs.
  • Use the RabbitMQ JMS client to connect your applications.
