Amazon ECR Dual-Stack Endpoints with AWS PrivateLink Support

Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR) now supports AWS PrivateLink for its dual-stack endpoints, allowing for standardized IPv6 usage and enhanced security.

Previously, ECR introduced IPv6 support for API and Docker/OCI requests via dual-stack endpoints, enabling requests from both IPv4 and IPv6 networks. With the addition of AWS PrivateLink, all network traffic between your Amazon VPC and ECR is now limited to the Amazon network, improving your security posture.

This feature is available at no additional cost in all AWS commercial and AWS GovCloud (US) regions.
