Amazon EC2 C8gn Instances Now Available in Additional Regions
Amazon EC2 C8gn instances, powered by AWS Graviton4 processors, are now available in the AWS Asia Pacific (Malaysia, Sydney, Thailand) Region. These instances offer up to 30% better compute performance than Graviton3-based C7gn instances, with enhanced networking capabilities and up to 600 Gbps network bandwidth. They are ideal for network-intensive workloads such as network virtual appliances, data analytics, and AI/ML inference.
Key features include:
- Performance: Up to 30% better compute performance than C7gn instances
- Networking: Up to 600 Gbps network bandwidth
- Instance Sizes: Up to 48xlarge, up to 384 GiB of memory, and up to 60 Gbps of bandwidth to EBS
- EFA Support: Available on 16xlarge, 24xlarge, 48xlarge, metal-24xl, and metal-48xl sizes for lower latency and improved cluster performance
