Amazon Connect Customer Profiles Updates

Amazon Connect Customer Profiles now sends segment membership events, enabling real-time and scheduled notifications when customer profiles enter or exit a segment. This feature eliminates the need for manual segment exports and custom scripts, reducing resource consumption, errors, and delays.

With segment membership events, Customer Profiles automatically evaluates and streams membership changes directly to your Amazon Kinesis Data Stream. Each event includes:

• Profile ID
• Segment Name
• Operation Type (joined or left)
• Change Detection (real-time or scheduled run)

What to do

• Configure an Amazon Kinesis Data Stream in your domain settings
• Subscribe your segments to start receiving notifications
