Amazon CloudWatch Pipelines

Amazon CloudWatch pipelines now lets you configure log processors using natural language descriptions powered by generative AI. This fully managed service ingests, transforms, and routes log data to CloudWatch without infrastructure management. The AI-assisted configuration simplifies setting up processors for complex log formats by generating the necessary configuration automatically.

What to do

  • Toggle the AI-assisted option during the processing step in the CloudWatch console.
  • Enter a natural language description of your desired transformations.
  • Verify the generated processor configuration with a sample log event before deployment.

AI-assisted processor configuration is available at no additional cost in all AWS Regions where CloudWatch pipelines is generally available. Standard CloudWatch Logs ingestion and storage rates still apply.

To get started, open the Amazon CloudWatch console, navigate to pipelines under Ingestion, and follow the pipeline wizard.
