Amazon CloudWatch introduces PromQL querying with Query Studio Preview

Amazon CloudWatch Query Studio in Public Preview
Amazon CloudWatch introduces Query Studio, a unified query and visualization experience that supports native PromQL querying for the first time. This feature combines PromQL and CloudWatch Metric Insights in one interface, allowing you to query AWS and OpenTelemetry metrics using your preferred language without switching consoles.
Query Studio features a visual form builder with autocomplete and a code editor with syntax highlighting, making it user-friendly for both beginners and experienced users. For instance, teams running applications on Amazon EC2 can correlate custom OpenTelemetry metrics with EC2 metrics, quickly identify issues, and create alarms or dashboards directly from query results.
Query Studio is available in public preview in the following regions: US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Asia Pacific (Singapore), and Europe (Ireland). Standard CloudWatch dashboard pricing applies.
What to do
- Open Query Studio from the Metrics console or dashboard edit mode in the Amazon CloudWatch console.
- Learn more on the Amazon CloudWatch documentation page.
