Amazon CloudWatch adds visual agent configuration to the EC2 console

Amazon CloudWatch Agent Visual Editor

Amazon CloudWatch now offers a visual configuration editor for the CloudWatch agent directly in the Amazon EC2 console, simplifying the setup and management of observability for your EC2 instances. This new feature allows you to configure metrics, logs, and traces without needing to manually edit JSON.

What to do

• Navigate to the Amazon EC2 console.
• Select an instance and access the EC2 monitoring tab to manage the CloudWatch agent.
• Use the visual editor to configure metrics, log sources, and deployment targets.
• Deploy configurations with a single click.

This feature is available in all AWS Commercial Regions at no additional cost, with standard CloudWatch pricing for collected telemetry.
