Amazon Bedrock Data Automation Updates

Amazon Bedrock Data Automation (BDA) now supports 10 additional languages for speech analytics workloads: Portuguese, French, Italian, Spanish, German, Chinese, Cantonese, Taiwanese, Korean, and Japanese. BDA automates generation of insights from unstructured multimodal content for GenAI-powered applications. With this update, customers can process audio in these new languages to get transcriptions and Gen AI-powered insights in either the detected language or English. If the audio file contains more than one language, BDA will create a multi-lingual transcript by detecting all supported languages.

This update simplifies extracting insights from multi-lingual conversations such as customer calls, education sessions, public safety calls, clinical discussions, and meetings. For example, a sales supervisor at a global software company can analyze multi-lingual voice conversations to identify areas of improvement for sales agents.
