Kiro Web Search Updates

Kiro web search provides real-time access to current information on the internet, enhancing the agent's ability to answer questions based on up-to-date search results and page content. Web search is automatically used for questions involving recent changes or topics beyond the model's training data, with answers including citations.

Kiro enterprise administrators can disable web search and web fetch for their organization via the Kiro console under Settings. Teams can also remove web tools from individual custom agents or block them using capability-based permission rules.

What to do

  • Review and adjust web search settings in the Kiro console under Settings.
  • Remove web tools from individual custom agents if necessary.
  • Use capability-based permission rules to block web tools.
