AWS Europe (Ireland) Region Supports Second-Generation Outposts Racks

Second-generation AWS Outposts racks are now available in the AWS Europe (Ireland) Region, extending AWS infrastructure, services, APIs, and tools to on-premises data centers or colocation spaces. This expansion provides a consistent hybrid experience, optimizing for latency and data residency needs.

Organizations can now order Outposts racks connected to this new region, allowing them to run workloads locally with low latency access to on-premises systems while connecting back to their home Region for application management. This also enables the management and processing of data that must remain on-premises to meet data residency requirements.
