Savings Plans and Reserved Instances Group Sharing is now generally available

AWS Reserved Instances and Savings Plans Group Sharing
AWS has introduced Reserved Instances and Savings Plans (RISP) Group Sharing, a new feature in Billing and Cost Management, allowing customers to manage how AWS commitments are shared across their organization. This feature enables granular control over the distribution of Reserved Instances and Savings Plans benefits among specific groups of accounts within an AWS organization, aligning cost savings with business structures and accountability requirements.
This feature addresses challenges faced by enterprises managing AWS costs across multiple business units, ensuring that Reserved Instances and Savings Plans benefit the intended teams. Customers can create groups using AWS Cost Categories that reflect their organizational hierarchy, such as business units, projects, geographical regions, or funding sources. Two sharing options are available: Prioritized Group Sharing applies commitments to defined groups first, then shares unused capacity organization-wide, while Restricted Group Sharing keeps commitments exclusively within defined groups for strict boundary requirements.
Availability
RISP Group Sharing is available in all AWS Regions except AWS GovCloud (US) Regions and the China Regions.
