Haiku 5.5 now available on Kiro in AWS GovCloud (US)

New Anthropic Model in Kiro IDE and CLI

A new Anthropic model, Haiku 5.5, is now available in the Kiro IDE and CLI for the AWS GovCloud (US) Regions. This update includes all three Claude 5.5 models in Kiro in AWS GovCloud (US).

New Features

• Fastest Model: Haiku 5.5 is the fastest model in the Claude 5.5 family, ideal for tasks requiring quick responses and handling large volumes of work.
• Adaptive Thinking: It uses adaptive thinking across five effort levels, with medium as the default.
• Context Window: Available with a 1M context window.
• Credit Multiplier: 0.06x credit multiplier, 0.3x for requests over 100K tokens.

What to do

• Update your IDE or CLI to the latest version.
• Restart your IDE or CLI to access the new model from the model selector.
