FreeRTOS 202604 LTS, a new Long Term Support release, is now available, providing feature stability, security updates, and critical bug fixes for two years.
New Features
- Hardware Ports: New hardware ports added.
- Security Hardening: Improved security features.
- Memory Protection Unit (MPU) Support: Expanded MPU support, reducing MPU regions claimed by FreeRTOS.
- coreMQTT v5.0.2: Added MQTT v5.0 protocol support with features like topic aliases and request/response patterns.
- coreSNTP v2.0.0: Year 2038 readiness for validating TLS certificates and timestamp data.
- Libraries: Verified for memory safety and MISRA-C compliance, enhancing robustness, portability, and reliability.
