AWS Transfer Family Custom Log Group Feature

AWS Transfer Family now allows you to choose a custom log group in Amazon CloudWatch Logs for managed workflow execution logs. This feature enables you to organize workflow logs to monitor individual workflows separately or consolidate logs from related workflows.

What to do

  • Create a workflow through the AWS Transfer Family console or API.
  • Select a workflow-level log group that is separate from the server’s log group.
  • Send logs from multiple workflows to a shared log group for consolidated metrics and dashboards.

Existing workflows will continue using their current logging configuration. This feature is available in all AWS Regions where Transfer Family managed workflows are offered.
