AWS simplifies Client VPN onboarding with Quickstart setup

AWS Client VPN Simplified Onboarding
AWS introduces a new Quickstart setup method for AWS Client VPN, streamlining the process of creating and configuring Client VPN endpoints. This new method reduces the number of steps required and allows for quick setup with pre-defined default configurations.
- IPv4 CIDR: Required input for setting up the VPN endpoint.
- Server Certificate ARN: Required input for the server certificate.
- Subnet Selection: Required input for selecting the subnet.
The Quickstart method is available alongside the existing Standard Setup option, providing flexibility in deployment. When creating a VPC, the Client VPN Quickstart workflow is suggested as a follow-up step. After endpoint creation, you can download the client configuration file to connect using your VPN client. Modify and enhance your endpoint configuration using the Client VPN standard console or API as needed. This enhancement is available at no additional cost in all AWS Regions where AWS Client VPN is generally available.
What to do
- Choose the Quickstart setup for a simplified onboarding experience.
- Input the required details: IPv4 CIDR, server certificate ARN, and subnet selection.
- Download the client configuration file to connect using your VPN client.
- Modify and enhance your endpoint configuration as your usage patterns evolve.
