AWS Shield Network Security Director Findings in AWS Security Hub

AWS Shield now offers findings from the network security director, currently in preview, available in AWS Security Hub. This feature identifies missing or misconfigured network security services such as AWS WAF, VPC security groups, and VPC network ACLs within your AWS Organization and provides remediation recommendations.

Additionally, network security director findings are now visible in the Inventory section of the Security Hub console. This allows continuous analysis of your network across accounts or organizational units in your AWS Organization, with findings highlighting missing or misconfigured network security services according to AWS best practices. The severity of each finding is based on the identified misconfiguration and the network topology of the associated resource.
