AWS IoT Device Management Commands now supports dynamic payloads

AWS IoT Device Management
AWS IoT Device Management commands now support dynamic payload functionality, allowing developers to create reusable command templates with placeholders that can be replaced with different values during command execution. This enhancement includes parameter validation rules to ensure parameter values meet specified criteria before execution. Developers can now set command parameters during runtime, simplifying the reuse of commands.
This feature is particularly useful for sending similar commands with varying parameter values to IoT devices. For instance, instead of creating separate commands for different thermostat temperatures, you can create a single template with a temperature placeholder and specify the actual value during runtime. This template-based approach streamlines command management for applications like adjusting device configurations or controlling smart home devices with variable settings.
AWS IoT Device Management commands with dynamic payload support are available in all AWS Regions where AWS IoT Device Management is available. To learn more about dynamic payloads and payload templates, visit the AWS IoT Device Management Commands Developer Guide.
