AWS IAM Identity Center enables account access and application use in multiple AWS Regions

IAM Identity Center Multi-Region Support
IAM Identity Center now supports replication from the primary AWS Region to additional Regions, enhancing resilience and aligning with business needs such as data residency and user proximity.
When enabled, IAM Identity Center automatically replicates identities and entitlements to additional Regions, ensuring continued access during disruptions in the primary Region.
What to do
- Use the standard deployment workflow to deploy applications in additional Regions.
- Assign users to applications in the new Regions while administering IAM Identity Center in the primary Region.
Available in 17 commercial AWS Regions for organization instances connected to external identity providers, such as Okta. Requires a multi-Region customer managed KMS key (CMK). For more details, visit the IAM Identity Center User Guide.
