AWS Deadline Cloud now supports custom scripting for job submission workflows

AWS Deadline Cloud Updates
AWS Deadline Cloud now supports running custom scripts before and after job submission, allowing studios to integrate their pipeline directly into the submission workflow. This fully managed service simplifies render management for teams creating computer-generated graphics and visual effects.
New Features
- Custom scripts can now run before and after job submission.
- Pre-submission scripts validate job configurations, discover and add input files, modify parameters, or enforce policies.
- Post-submission scripts send notifications, update tracking systems, or log details.
- Scripts are defined in YAML or JSON configuration files and can be placed in job bundle directories or shared directories.
- Each script receives job metadata and supports configurable timeouts.
What to do
- Configure pre-submission scripts to validate job configurations and add necessary files.
- Set up post-submission scripts to send notifications or update tracking systems.
- Place scripts in job bundle directories or shared directories using environment variables.
