AWS DataSync Enhanced mode adds HDFS, Azure Blob, and object storage locations with Hyper-V agent support

AWS DataSync Enhancements

AWS DataSync Enhanced mode now supports agent-based data transfers with Hadoop Distributed File Systems (HDFS), Microsoft Azure Blob Storage, and self-managed object storage. Enhanced mode agents can also be deployed on Microsoft Hyper-V.

Key features include:

  • Parallelism: Improved data transfer speeds.
  • Unlimited file counts: No limit on the number of files transferred.
  • Detailed metrics: Comprehensive monitoring and reporting.

Enhanced mode HDFS support includes:

  • Multiple NameNode configurations: High availability setups.
  • Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) with Kerberos authentication: Secure migration of encrypted Hadoop data.
