AWS’ Customer Carbon Footprint Tool now includes Scope 3 emissions data

AWS Customer Carbon Footprint Tool Update
AWS’ Customer Carbon Footprint Tool (CCFT) now includes Scope 3 emissions data and Scope 1 natural gas and refrigerants, offering customers more complete visibility into their cloud carbon footprint. This update covers all three industry-standard emission scopes as defined by the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.
The CCFT Scope 3 update provides full visibility into the lifecycle carbon impact of AWS usage, including emissions from manufacturing, powering facilities, and transporting equipment. Historical data is available back to January 2022, enabling organizations to track progress and make informed decisions about their cloud strategy to meet sustainability goals. This data is accessible through the CCFT dashboard and AWS Billing and Cost Management Data Exports, allowing customers to incorporate carbon insights into their workflows, planning, and reporting.
What to do
- Visit the CCFT Website for more information.
