AWS Workload Credentials Provider Release

AWS introduces the AWS Workload Credentials Provider, a lightweight client-side tool that automates the deployment of exported certificates from AWS Certificate Manager (ACM) and local caching of secrets from AWS Secrets Manager across AWS and non-AWS workloads.

New Features

  • Automates deployment of exported certificates from ACM.
  • Local caching of secrets from Secrets Manager.
  • Supports both Windows and Linux.
  • Compatible with Apache and NGINX web servers.
  • Open source and available on GitHub.

What to do

  • Configure the provider with your certificate ARN.
  • Specify options such as file paths and server reload behavior.
  • Use the provider to prevent expiry related failures.
