AWS Launches AWS Interconnect - Last Mile Preview with Megaport

AWS Interconnect - last mile is a fully managed connectivity offering that simplifies connecting branch offices, data centers, and remote locations to AWS. This collaboration between AWS and Megaport combines cloud innovation with Megaport's extensive SDN network.

New Features

• Instantly establish private, high-speed connections to AWS via the AWS Management Console.
• Choose preferred AWS Region, bandwidth speed, Direct Connect Gateway ID, and partner subscriber ID.
• Automated complex network configuration including BGP peering, VLAN configuration, and ASN assignment.
• Dynamically scale bandwidth from 1 Gbps to 100 Gbps through the AWS Console.
• High availability with zero downtime maintenance and a 99.99% SLA.

Availability

AWS Interconnect - last mile is available in San Jose (us-west-1) and N. Virginia (us-east-1) metros through Megaport.
