Amazon Application Recovery Controller (ARC) Region Switch Updates

ARC Region switch now includes three new capabilities: post-recovery workflows, native RDS execution blocks, and AWS provider for Terraform support.

Post-recovery workflows

Automate preparation steps after failover or failback with custom action Lambda execution, RDS create read replica, ARC Region switch plan execution, and manual approval execution blocks. Available for active/passive deployments and manually triggered.

RDS execution blocks

Automate RDS recovery orchestration with RDS promote read replica and RDS create read replica execution blocks.

AWS provider for Terraform support

Manage disaster recovery plans as Infrastructure-as-Code and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
