Announcing Region Expansion of P4de instances on SageMaker Studio notebooks

Amazon EC2 P4de Instances Now Available

Amazon EC2 P4de instances are now available in Asia Pacific (Tokyo, Singapore) and Europe (Frankfurt) on SageMaker Studio notebooks. These instances are powered by 8 NVIDIA A100 GPUs with 80GB high-performance HBM2e GPU memory, offering 2X higher memory than the current P4d instances. Key benefits include:

• 640GB of GPU memory for up to 60% better ML training performance
• 20% lower cost to train compared to P4d instances
• Reduced model training times and faster time to market
• Benefit for large datasets of high-resolution data
