Amazon EC2 M3 Ultra Mac Instances Generally Available
AWS has announced the general availability of Amazon EC2 M3 Ultra Mac instances, powered by the latest Mac Studio hardware. These instances are designed for Apple developers to migrate demanding build and test workloads to AWS, supporting platforms like iOS, macOS, iPadOS, tvOS, watchOS, visionOS, and Safari.
Key features include:
- AWS Nitro System: Provides up to 10 Gbps network bandwidth and 8 Gbps EBS storage bandwidth.
- Hardware: Built on Apple M3 Ultra Mac Studio with a 28-core CPU, 60-core GPU, 32-core Neural Engine, and 256GB of unified memory.
- Performance: Offers 2x the unified memory, 1.75x the CPU cores, 1.5x the GPU cores, and 2x the Neural Engine cores compared to M4 Max Mac instances.
