Amazon WorkSpaces now supports Microsoft Windows Server 2025

New Windows Server 2025 Bundles for Amazon WorkSpaces

AWS introduces new bundles powered by Microsoft Windows Server 2025 for Amazon WorkSpaces Personal and Amazon WorkSpaces Core. These bundles allow customers to launch Windows Server 2025 WorkSpaces, leveraging the latest Windows server OS features. Applications like eligible Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise, which require newer Windows versions, can now be run.

While existing bundles for Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 remain available, the new Windows Server 2025 option provides enhanced security and modern capabilities including TPM 2.0, UEFI Secure Boot, Secured-core server, Credential Guard, and HVCI with DNS-over-HTTPS.

What to do

  • Start using the managed Windows Server 2025 WorkSpaces bundles
  • Create custom bundles and images tailored to specific requirements
