Amazon VPC IPAM automates IP assignments from Infoblox IPAM

Amazon VPC IPAM Automates IP Address Allocations from Infoblox
AWS has introduced a new feature that allows Amazon VPC IP Address Manager (IPAM) to automatically acquire non-overlapping IP address allocations from Infoblox Universal IPAM. This integration minimizes manual processes and reduces turnaround time for cloud and on-premises administrators.
With this feature, you can now automatically acquire non-overlapping IP addresses from your on-premises Infoblox Universal IPAM into your top-level AWS IPAM pool and organize them into regional pools based on your business requirements. This reduces the risk of service disruptions by ensuring that your IPs do not conflict with on-premise IP addresses.
Previously, administrators had to use offline means such as tickets or emails to request and allocate IP addresses, which was often error-prone and time-consuming. This new integration automates the manual process, improving operational efficiency.
What to do
- Review the IPAM documentation for more information.
- Check the Amazon VPC Pricing Page for IPAM pricing details.
