Amazon S3 Tables Enhancements

Amazon S3 Tables now supports partition and sort order definition for the CreateTable API. This update simplifies setting these properties programmatically, optimizing data management in tables upon creation.

You can specify partition transforms and sort order fields in the CreateTable API call, or when creating tables using the AWS CLI or AWS SDK.

What to do

  • Upgrade to the latest version of the AWS CLI and AWS SDKs.
  • Use the new CreateTable API features to define partition and sort order.

This feature is available in all AWS Regions where S3 Tables are supported.
