Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MariaDB now supports M9g database instances

AWS Graviton5-based M9g DB Instances Now Available

AWS Graviton5-based M9g database instances are now generally available for Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MariaDB. These instances offer up to a 30% performance improvement and up to a 23% price/performance improvement for on-demand pricing over Graviton4-based instances.

Key features include:

  • Performance: Up to 30% improvement
  • Price/Performance: Up to 23% improvement
  • Instance Sizes: 24xlarge and 48xlarge
  • vCPU: Up to 192 vCPU
  • Networking: Up to 100Gbps enhanced networking bandwidth
  • EBS Bandwidth: Up to 72Gbps

These instances are available in the following regions:

  • US East (N. Virginia, Ohio)
  • US West (Oregon)
  • Europe (Frankfurt)
