Amazon RDS Custom for SQL Server Updates

Amazon RDS Custom for SQL Server now supports the latest Cumulative Updates (CU) and General Distribution Release (GDR) updates for Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL Server 2019 CU32+GDR KB5122772 (RDS version 15.00.4490.9.v1) and SQL Server 2022 CU26 + GDR KB5122768 (RDS version 16.00.4275.2.v1). For more details on improvements and fixes, refer to the Microsoft documentation.

What to do

  • Upgrade your Amazon RDS Custom for SQL Server instances to apply these updates using the Amazon RDS Management Console, AWS SDK, or CLI.
  • Consult the Amazon RDS Custom User Guide for detailed upgrade instructions.
