You can now run OpenSearch version 3.3 in Amazon OpenSearch Service. OpenSearch 3.3 introduces several improvements in areas like search performance, observability, and new functionality to make agentic AI integrations simpler and more powerful.

- Agentic Search: Achieve precise search results using natural language inputs without complex DSL queries.
- Batch Processing for Semantic Highlighter: Reduces overhead latency and improves GPU utilization.
- Neural Search Plugin Enhancements: More efficient semantic search with optimization options.
- Apache Calcite as Default Query Engine: Delivers optimization capabilities, improved query processing efficiency, and new PPL commands and functions.
- Approximation Framework Enhancements: Improves responsiveness of paginated search results, real-time dashboards, and deep pagination through large datasets.
- Workload Management Plugin: Groups search traffic and isolates network resources to prevent overuse and offers tenant-level isolation.
