Amazon MSK AI Agent Skills

Amazon MSK now offers AI Agent Skills that provide expert guidance for operating Amazon MSK. These skills assist with common tasks such as troubleshooting, sizing, configuring, monitoring, and migrating from external Kafka clusters.

Teams can use these skills to maintain healthy and performant clusters and migrate workloads to MSK Express, which offers up to 3 times more throughput per broker, 20 times faster scaling, and 90 percent reduced recovery time compared to Standard brokers.

The skills are compatible with existing AI coding agents like Kiro, Claude Code, or Cursor. To start, configure the Agent Toolkit for AWS using the AWS CLI and ask your coding agent questions such as "What broker type and size should I use for my MSK cluster?" or "Is my Kafka cluster compatible with MSK Express?"
