Amazon GameLift Servers adds ability to view and connect to instances in the console

Amazon GameLift Servers Console Enhancements
Amazon GameLift Servers has introduced new console capabilities to view and connect to individual fleet instances. The EC2 and Container Fleet Detail pages now feature an Instances tab, listing all instances associated with a fleet. Each instance has a dedicated details page displaying metadata in a human-readable format, accessible via Amazon GameLift Server APIs. From these views, you can connect directly to an instance using AWS CloudShell to start an SSM session.
These enhancements provide direct tools for debugging, inspecting, and resolving issues more efficiently. You can now investigate host performance, retrieve recent game server logs, and diagnose issues like network configuration and instance health directly from the Amazon GameLift Servers Console, reducing troubleshooting time and improving visibility into fleet operations.
What to do
- Explore the new Instances tab on the EC2 and Container Fleet Detail pages.
- Use the connect button to launch AWS CloudShell and start an SSM session.
- Utilize the detailed metadata for debugging and issue resolution.
