Amazon Elastic VMware Service (Amazon EVS) Updates

Amazon EVS now supports specifying VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and ESX software versions when setting up EVS environments and hosts. This feature helps you migrate workloads to AWS faster, reduce complexity, and meet deadlines.

New Features

  • Specify VCF version when creating new environments using the CreateEnvironment API.
  • Select ESX version when adding new hosts to existing environments using the CreateEnvironmentHost API.
  • Query supported version combinations with the new GetVersions API.
  • Support for new environment deployments with VCF 5.2.2.
