Amazon ECR Replication Rules Limit Increase

Amazon Elastic Container Registry (Amazon ECR) has increased the maximum number of replication rules per registry from 10 to 25. This update allows customers to define more precise replication strategies for use cases like distributing images across many regions for low-latency pulls, or replicating to multiple production and staging accounts.

What to do

  • Update your replication rules to take advantage of the new limit.
  • Review your multi-region and multi-account architectures to optimize image distribution.
