Amazon EC2 X2idn Instances Available in Asia Pacific (Hong Kong)

Memory-optimized Amazon EC2 X2idn instances, powered by 3rd generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors and built with AWS Nitro System, are now available in the Asia Pacific (Hong Kong) Region. These instances are designed for memory-intensive workloads and deliver improved performance compared to previous generation X1 instances. They are also SAP-certified for various workloads including Business Suite on HANA, SAP S/4HANA, and more.

What to do

  • Evaluate if your workloads can benefit from the improved performance of X2idn instances.
  • Migrate workloads to the new instances if applicable.
  • Review SAP certification details for your specific use cases.
