Amazon EC2 Im4gn Instances in Asia Pacific (Mumbai) Region

Starting today, Amazon EC2 Im4gn Instances are available in the Asia Pacific (Mumbai) region. These instances are built on the AWS Nitro System and are powered by AWS Graviton2 processors. They feature up to 30TB of instance storage with custom-designed 2nd Generation AWS Nitro SSDs for I/O intensive workloads.

These instances are ideal for:

• Relational databases (e.g. MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL)
• NoSQL databases (KeyDB, ScyllaDB, Cassandra)
• Search engines
• Data analytics workloads

They also offer up to 100 Gbps networking and support for Elastic Fabric Adapter (EFA) for high inter-node communication needs.
