Amazon EC2 SEV-SNP on Dedicated Hosts

Amazon EC2 now supports AMD Secure Encrypted Virtualization-Secure Nested Paging (SEV-SNP) on Dedicated Hosts, allowing customers to run confidential computing workloads on dedicated physical servers.

  • Feature: SEV-SNP on Dedicated Hosts for confidential computing workloads.
  • Benefits: Control over instance placement, host affinity, and up-to-date security firmware.
  • Availability: Available in all AWS commercial Regions with AMD instances.

What to do

  • Allocate a Dedicated Host with SEV-SNP enabled.
  • Launch SEV-SNP instances on the Dedicated Host.
  • Ensure your confidential computing environment is up to date with the latest security firmware.
