Amazon EC2 Capacity Manager Updates

Amazon EC2 Capacity Manager now supports tag-based dimensions, allowing you to group and filter capacity metrics using tags from your EC2 resources. You can activate up to five custom tag keys and use them alongside built-in dimensions to manage capacity metrics. Additionally, the new Account Name dimension simplifies cross-account capacity data analysis.

What to do

  • Activate up to five custom tag keys in the Settings tab of Capacity Manager.
  • Use the new Account Name dimension for easier cross-account analysis.
  • Include tag data in S3 data exports for enhanced reporting.
