Amazon CloudWatch Database Insights

Amazon CloudWatch Database Insights now offers its on-demand analysis experience in AWS GovCloud (US-East) and AWS GovCloud (US-West). This feature provides database administrators and developers with comprehensive visibility into database metrics, query analysis, and resource utilization patterns, helping to optimize database performance.

With the new automated intelligence, you can analyze database performance monitoring data for any time period, identify anomalies, and receive specific remediation advice. This reduces mean-time-to-diagnosis significantly.

What to do

  • Enable the Advanced mode of CloudWatch Database Insights on your Amazon Aurora and Amazon RDS databases.
  • Use the RDS service console, AWS APIs, the AWS SDK, or AWS CloudFormation to get started.
  • Refer to the RDS documentation or Aurora documentation for detailed instructions.
