Amazon Aurora MySQL 3.11 (compatible with MySQL 8.0.43) is now generally available

Amazon Aurora MySQL - Compatible Edition 3

Starting today, Amazon Aurora MySQL - Compatible Edition 3 (with MySQL 8.0 compatibility) will support MySQL 8.0.43 through Aurora MySQL v3.11. This release includes several security enhancements, bug fixes, and new features such as additional errors for group replication and the mysql client “commands” option.

What to do

  • Upgrade to Aurora MySQL 3.11 by modifying your DB cluster or enabling the “Auto minor version upgrade” option.

This release is available in all AWS regions where Aurora MySQL is available.
